Kriplean, Marie (Marriage - 30 May 1941)

Miss Marie Kriplean, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Kriplean of Colby, and Mr. Warren J. Call, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Call of Wausau, were united in marriage at a wedding ceremony performed in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Friday morning. Rev. L. J. Lang read the marriage service during mass. Hymns were sung by the ladies’ choir. The couple was attended by Miss Rita Kriplean, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid and Mr. Jack Call of Wausau, brother of the groom.

The bride chose for the ceremony a becoming suit of Calvert tan with beige accessories and a shoulder corsage of sweet peas and sweetheart roses. The bridesmaid was attired in a suit of heavenly blue with beige accessories and a corsage of roses and sweet peas.

The bride’s mother wore a dubonnet print redingote with navy blue accessories and the groom’s mother wore a green print dress with beige accessories.

A wedding breakfast was served for 30 guests at the Hotel Robinson in Colby, Wis., and a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The bride is a graduate nurse employed at the Memorial Hospital at Wausau, Wis. Mr. Call is associated with the Leath Furniture Company at Wausau, Wis. They spent their honeymoon in the twin cities and will be at home after June 2, 1941, at 1712 ½ Emerson St., Wausau, Wis.

Out of town guests were Mrs. H. Kriplean of New Richmond, Wis., Mrs. Ed. Goedert of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Pleus of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Payne and son, Billie, Jr., of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Call of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Arlene Van of Marshfield, Mrs. Lena Van and sons, Milton and Gerald, of Green Bay, Misses Ann Hrasky, Beatrice Poizer, Katherine Haas, Norma Krakenburger and Marcella Kriplean of Wausau, Wis.
